Well,

The new-look website means another new messageboard.

Any old registrations are now invalid. Please register again, but note the registration process is slightly different now. A confirmation email will be sent to your email account, and you will not be able to post messages (or login) until you have followed the instructions in the email. This is being done to try to put an end to the spammers who hanted the old board.

Anyway, start posting.

Folks,

The messageboard has been inundated lately with spammers trying to post porn and other rubbish. As i don't have the time to check the board often enough to delete these posts, I've made a change to the way you sign up to use the board.

FROM NOW ON, NEW USERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO POST UNTIL THEIR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CLEARED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR.

I'll be able to clear any new accounts every evening, so it will mean only a short delay for new users.

Anthony

No band playing this year...just a disco after the dinner.
Club Ballyholland members will get their tickets early this week...probably tonight.
Tickets can be bought by contacting me if required....although not too many people have ever bothered buying tickets in advance in the past few years so we don't expect a stampede.

The number of attendees at the Dinner Dance was always a guessing game so it'll be no different this year.

Folks,

I've been completely inundated by spambots registering for this messageboard. Last night, I deleted over 300 'new members' from the register. This is a weekly job and is seriously annoying me. I've deleted some genuine accounts among that lot, but it was too much hassle to sift through each entry.

The only way around this is to close registration.

But, we've only got 25 or so registered members at present. Why is this? There are over 200 people registered players between football and camogie, not to mention all the other people involved with the club.

So, registration will stay open in a different form. If you want to register, send Anthony McNamee an email (anthony@ballyholland.org), telling me the username and password you want. I'll then register you and reply when the account is activated.

Once you get that, you can change your password, and other preferences.
