BDA News Miss Ballyholland 2007The Inaugural Miss Ballyholland Beauty Pageant will take place in the club on Saturday the 24th of November at 9pm.
Sorry girls this is open only to the boys who like dressing up. It promises to be a night of glamour and fun – all in aid of Ballyholland Development Association.
Event organiser Damian “the Mexican” Dixon, said “I am only dressing up to attract the male voters for my Lord Mayor of Ballyholland campaign. Rumours that I enjoy this sort of thing are greatly exaggerated. However I have always been a great admirer of Danny La Rue.”
Admission is £5 and music is provided by Blue Magic.
There is a poster in the web Gallery previewing some of the local start-lets who will be strutting their stuff on Saturday the 24th of November on the catwalk in aid of BDA.
Good luck boys…I mean girls…I mean…well you know what I mean.

General News New seats in the standThose of you that have been in the field will have noticed that the stand has been fitted out with new seats.
You might be surprised to hear that Ballyholland Harps are the first team in South Down to have a covered spectator stand. Most of the work has been carried out on a voluntary basis by our own members, giving up their free time at evenings and weekends over the last 16 months.
However to give everyone a chance to own a part of this development we are offering members the opportunity to buy their own seat in the stand. We have a lot of interest already from our members in the scheme….so much so that we have also decided to extend this opportunity to the parents of our underage players.
Everyone who purchases a seat will have their name inscribed on a special plaque which will be erected on the stand for all to see in years to come.
Seats will be priced individually at £20 each…..families can get 4 seats for £80. (based on 2 adults and 2 children) The price will remain the same for families with more than 2 children.
There are a limited number of seats on sale so I would advise you to contact Paddy Savage on 07799 867830 or Kevin Loughran on 07729 839540 as soon as possible to reserve your own wee bit of the new Ballyholland Harps stand.

Juvenile Football News U 16s win South Down titleBallyholland's under-16 footballers lift Championship honours
Inspired by big performances from key players such as skipper Robbie White, defensive kingpin Sean Anderson and midfield dynamo Conor Madden, Ballyholland won the under-16 South Down Championship with a tremendous victory over local rivals Burren on Saturday 1st September.
Under the tutelage of Mickey Kearney, Tommy Kane, Damien Dixon and Paddy Havern, the young stars delivered a terrific second half performance, and in doing so repeated their success two years ago at under-14 level.
They now go on to face Kilcoo in the All-County final and here's hoping they'll be bringing yet more silverware back to the club.
