We could have got a tougher start than Ballinderry away, but we've had have had to look long and hard. The 2002 All-Ireland Club Champions (2006 Derry Champions) can call on a heap of current and former Derry panellists, including Conleth Gilligan and Ulster players Enda Muldoon and Kevin McGuckin.
Latton won a Monaghan Championship as recently as 2005 and boast hugely impressive county midfielder Eoin Lennon among their ranks. Eoin Duffy, Bernard O'Brien and Hugh McElroy are other Latton players who have seen Championship action for the Farney county.
Donaghamore gave us a lesson in football when we travelled up there two years ago, and the scary thing is that they did so without county men past and present in the form of Brian Robinson, Seamus Mulgrew and Kelvin Hughes. Dungannon Swifts star Niall McGinn was only a minor then, but put on a hell of a show of football.
Coalisland were beaten in last year's Tyrone SFC final and are one of the up and coming teams in the Red Hand county. Peter Donnelly and Richard Thornton would be their most decorated current players.
Our last opponents are down the road in Culloville. They are backboned by a squad of O'Neill brother, including former Armagh midfielder Alan, and can also call on former Armagh panellist Kieran Hatzer.
