The Harps seniors narrowly missed out on promotion to Division I last season, when they somehow contrived to lose a comfortable lead in the closing stages of their final play-off game. Under the new management of Antrim man Hugh McGettigan, they'll be aiming to go one better in 2007. The ACFL II looks the most competitive and open it has been in years, and they face a tough challenge, as at least half the teams are entering the season with a realistic expectation of promotion. But led by county players Ronan Murtagh and Paul Murphy, the Harps can boast a strong experienced spine, increasingly reinforced by a plethora of talented youngsters breaking through - so the players are there to succeed in their task.
